RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Coder and Technology
  • Ensuring our concept can be brought to life fluidly via technology
  • Ensuring any technology used is functional and easy to use
  • Ensuring the concept is technologically feasible

2. Usability & Testing
  • Arranging a thorough series of usability tests before, during and after the creation of the product
  • Compiling the results in a methodical, systematic way
  • Reporting the results in a methodical, systematic way

3. Finances/Costs
  • Making certain we don't exceed our modest budget
  • Estimating how much our product will cost if produced

4. Copywriting
  • Making sure the text is correct and well written

TASKS

1. Coder and Technology
  • Creating a Touchscreen or acquiring one
  • Coding the interface so users can interact flawlessly
  • Debugging and tweaking mistakes

2. Usability & Testing
  • Conducting an open questionnaire to our target audience
  • Creating a paper prototype of our interface
  • Creating a second paper prototype of our interface, including revisions
  • Reporting the constructive criticism back to the group in a productive way that will improve the product
  • Conducting the final usability test of our users interacting with our final piece

3. Finances/Costs
  • Making a detailed record of all expenditures in a financial plan
  • Researching current market costs and graphs to find an estimate of costs

4. Copywriting
  • Writing any text in a professional, informative, concise and non-offensive way
  • Scrutinising our written text and ensuring no grammatical/spelling mistakes are present.

ASSESSMENT
  • My ability to manipulate coding and touch screen technology and understand the advantages of this knowledge
  • The conversion of our idea from a concept to reality and the use of technology within our scope
  • The implementation of usability into our project and the most efficient ways of testing our product
  • My ability to understand how successful a product can be due to stringent usability testing
