TFL Interactive Map

1) Here is the an existing TFL's Online Interactive Map.
Each tube station you can click and get info. such as local area street map... etc.
Once we decided the line we want to focus, we can get the content we need from this map.

for ex., the ''Opening Hours of information center and ticket office'' can give tourists information for their traveling plan.
As a tourist which is not familar with London, i think i need this info. in case i missed last tube.

2) Here is another link of Interactive Map, once click the station, you can see the outside view.

GeoSpace: An Interactive Visualization System for Exploring Complex Information Spaces (paper)

very interesting, answering some of our questions for the project.
The diference between this project and ours is that our map is in the move. With the connection to the surface we can't see that is the most important part we need to carefully highlight.

Tokyo tube nav

Title links to the Wikipedia.

This is simple version of tokyos tube map.

Here is the full version in pdf.

I didn't find any interactive systems which were done for tube. Only interaction I could fine was in connection with online maps and route finding, usually using google map.

General navigational systems I found were connected with gps car navigation, not useful for us.

We need to do more research but it seems there is not many interactive informative/navigational systems out there.

Sasha's amazon wish list - navigation and maps books

MapTube

I wanted to create a real map with tube shown on it but CASA (Digital Urban is their blog) did it already for me. Cool!

Have a look where the tube runs on the real map. This could be a very helpful source of data for our project.

Maps

I'll post here some nice maps I found.
