What type of projects are involved?

The type of projects are increasing all the time because the uses of interactive media delivery channels such as the Web, mobile, iTV and games consoles are expanding with more and more business sectors trying to find out how they can best use them. Often the project is not happening in isolation. Developing for other traditional media channels may be part of the mix too.

See if your projects fall into any of the following:

  • online advertising
  • emarketing
  • etailing
  • elearning
  • search optimisation or marketing (SEO/SEM)
  • games
  • iTV
  • mobile
  • PDAs
  • web site development
  • micro site development
  • web site make-over
  • usability
  • accessibility

If your end product needs to work on one of the newer interactive delivery channels, then it is an interactive media project. It may be serving a sector that has special considerations such as advertising or learning and the skill of the developers involved will need to reflect the special needs of that sector. Your project will utilise factors to suit the sector and intended audience. Your end user will openly interact with the product and you may collect and process information about their use patterns.

Your project may use any of the traditional media - text, audio, graphics, video but in their digital or interactive settings. This is why we choose to call this interactive media.
